Writing: Dolphins, Home learning, week 1

 Dolphins

Oh wow! Look at that Hector dolphin swimming with it’s pod in the New Zealand waters. Did you know some people call them the gymnast of the sea? Or Ariel swimmers, dolphins are well known in the world because of their smartness and agility!

Dolphins are one of the smartest mammals in the world. Yes they are mammals. It means they give birth and nurse their baby with their own milk, they also get hair at some point in their life. There are also 42 different species and seven species are porpoise.

Did you know the largest dolphin is the orca whale which is a killer whale? Also another fact is that they are warm blooded. A dolphin lifespan is up to 45-55 or more. Did you know a dolphin's diet contains a wide variety of fishes, squids, and crustaceans such as shrimps. a wide variety of fishes, squids, and crustaceans such as shrimps.

You can spot a dolphin all around the world's water, you can also see them in different environments. The Hector dolphin that you can only see in the New Zealand waters are in threat; their population is only over 50. The bottle-nose dolphin is the most common out of all the other species, you can see them all over the world doing amazing tricks in the water.

We should really take care of our sea. There are a lot of

wonderful creatures that lie beyond its waters.

We did this in Writing, week 1 of Home learning. I found it quite challenging to find different facts that interesting, but I managed to do it.
